"Red Light" is the lead single from Red Light, the third studio album by f(x).

Composition

The song has been described as a "blast of urban rhythm bit, reversal in electrohouse genre", with the lyrics talking about "capturing great moments, stop and reconsider what is important in life."[1]

The song also uses the symbolism of a “red light” to represent a warning that is "expressed in an eye-catching way."[2]

The song was composed by Maegan Cottone, Daniel Ullmann, Bryan Jarett, Allison Kaplan, and Sherry St. Germain, with lyrics by Kenzie.

Reception

The song peaked at number 2 on the Korean Gaon digital single charts[3] and peaked at number 3 on the (now defunct) Billboard K-pop 100 charts.[4]

The song also ended up winning five music program awards: M! Countdown, Music Bank, Inkigayo, Show Champion, and Show! Music Core.
