"4 Walls" is the lead single from 4 Walls, the fourth studio album by multi-national girl group f(x).

"4 Walls" is a dance-pop song with a deep house sound.[1]

The song has been described as "a natural fit with the UK garage-inspired pop that’s transcended national borders in the past couple years, with sweet lyrics about the comfort of a committed relationship."[2]

The song is composed by LDN Noise, Tay Jasper, and Adrian McKinnon, with lyrics by Lee Seu-ran.

The song peaked at number 2 on the Gaon digital singles chart.[3]

The song was positively reviewed by critics, calling it a superior "sister song" to the similar sounding "View" by labelmates SHINee.[4] The song was praised as "a moving meditation on commitment [when] taken with the poetry of its video and choreography – as much the art of it as the song, in SM’s estimation - that could signal a surprise second life for the world’s greatest living pop group."[5]

The song ended up winning five music programs awards: winning on M! Countdown (two weeks), Music Bank (two weeks), and The Show.
